On his video, Budapest-born musician and graphic designer Máté Jakab shows us emotive Latin funk grooves combined with beautiful pictures in black and white.

Performing with utmost concentration while showing an intense joy of playing, the Cajon Kids prove on this video that little ones can do big things.
Marc teaches his Cajon Kids in his own music workshop, he regularly performs in front of an audience together with the young talents and prepares them for the real big stages.

For Europe’s leading cajon manufacturer, extending its exhibition activities to include the Winter NAMM in the USA is a logical step in view of the great international demand for high-quality percussion instruments.

For the first time this year, Tamburi Mundi Festival will award a „Frame Drummer Promotion Price“, supported by Schlagwerk-Percussion. The tender invitations are addressed to professional and non-professional frame drum players while any types of frame drums are allowed. For example: Big frame drums, Bodhran, Tar, Pandeiro, Bendir, Riqq, Daf, Tamburello, Kanjira, Davul and so on. There are no particular handicaps in view of music styles like world music, folk, jazz or classic.

With this tender invitation, frame drummers will be offered a new platform. You, the artists will have the opportunity to present yourself at the frame drum festival while gathering new contacts.

Sia come frontman del gruppo dei Police sia come solista dal 1985, Sting ama fondere, con particolare sapienza, diversi generi musicali tra cui il Jazz, la musica classica, il Folk e il Country, dando vita a un sound del tutto personale.

L’artista britannico, apprezzato anche come attore, gode di grande rispetto sulla scena musicale internazionale.

Ogni sua opera diventa magia, ne è un esempio la sua collaborazione nel 2003 con il percussionista Rhani Krija che utilizza strumenti Schlagwerk. Un progetto nato in studio si è infatti trasformato in un’amicizia e in una collaborazione musicale duratura che prosegue tutt’oggi con successo.

Sting, insieme alla Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, è attualmente impegnato in un imponente tour mondiale in occasione del quale presenterà il suo nuovo album ”Symphonicities“.

Ad accompagnarli sarà anche Rhani Krija con numerosi strumenti Schlagwerk.
Il suo attuale setup si basa su un Cajón Fineline comfort "Mocca", su Cajinto e Bass-Cajinto nonché su svariati add-on di Cajón.
Non mancheranno naturalmente gli Skin Udu così come vari tamburi a cornice.

La prima “European Blues & Roots Masterclass” con Steve Baker, Dick Bird e Martin Röttger, tenutasi nell’estate 2009 a Le Kleebach, ha visto la partecipazione di 30 studenti che, insieme ai docenti, hanno celebrato per cinque giorni e cinque notti la gioia della musica “artigianale” in una location assolutamente perfetta. Un paesaggio incantevole, un alloggio di prima categoria, pietanze prelibate e prezzi modici, in un’atmosfera decisamente a misura di musicista, hanno creato il contesto ideale per ospitare l’evento e per il suo immancabile seguito nel 2010.

La musica “artigianale” non è mai frutto di una moda e l’evento di quest’anno offre ai musicisti dilettanti di ogni età quattro giorni di lezioni intensive con tre dei rappresentanti più emblematici di questo genere. Steve Baker, Dave Goodman e Martin Röttger vantano tutti sia una pluriennale esperienza come musicisti professionisti di alto livello sia un’ampia esperienza di carattere didattico. Di giorno i loro corsi coniugano teoria e pratica, mentre la sera offrono numerose occasioni per delle session musicali. Sabato 7 agosto, come evento conclusivo, i tre docenti si esibiranno insieme in un concerto.

Percussion Discussion presenta "La magia del tamburo“, duo di Hakim Ludin e Claudio Spieler. Un incontro-racconto di leggende provenienti da mondi magici e cerimonie scandite dai tamburi. Hakim Ludin e Claudio Spieler, maestri dalle note virtuose, affascinano in questa performance di pura energia e trance. La pluriennale esperienza sulla scena internazionale che li accomuna e la fine sensibilità ai gusti del pubblico garantiscono una serata musicale unica nel suo genere.

La magia del tamburo non tarda a conquistare il pubblico, catapultandolo nelle antiche culture di Asia, Africa e America Latina. Costruendo un ponte tra tradizione e modernità, il duo esprime la forza estasiante del ritmo e dei tamburi circolari. Come per gioco, Percussion Discussion si snoda tra assoli di sapore jazz, padronanza della tecnica percussiva e immagini sonore fantastiche. Hakim Ludin e Claudio Spieler mostrano le molteplici sfaccettature del mondo delle percussioni: i loro tamburi risuonano in improvvisazioni melodiche e regalano un nuovo volto al concetto della percussione. I due artisti incantano lo spettatore con performance di alto livello musicale: transfrontaliere, entusiasmanti, fantastiche. Con incredibile virtuosismo e creatività, il duo porta in scena storie affascinanti. Al termine dell'esibizione, in sala rimangono gli spettatori, felici di aver condiviso un concerto tutto forza ed energia, e di aver danzato, applaudito e riso insieme. Una vera magia.
