Friedrich Glorian

It was in the late 1960´s when Glorian started his career as a professional musician in the city of Ulm in southern Germany, playing the lead guitar with the krautrock band Prof. Wolfff, one of the first rock bands to use German lyrics.

After a two-year training at Joe Haider´s jazz school in Munich from 1975 until 1977, he spent a lot of time in India to study North Indian vocal music and percussion.

During these study trips, he got interested and involved in the healing aspects of sound and colour as well as Indian music therapy.

Living in the south of France from 1988 to 2001, he cooperated with the “Chakra Center for East-West Synthesis” offering “music & healing” workshops and developing sound healing concerts.

After returning to Germany, he founded the world music project setu.bandh in the year 2004, featuring musicians from India, Georgia, Hungary and Israel.

He shares his knowledge and experience within the framework of workshops and training courses held in Germany, France and Italy. Currently, he is busy composing new / experimental / electronic music for dance and multimedia productions and art installations.

Apart from live solo performances, he also participates in dance and multimedia projects.
